Mr. Livingstone was, most recently, a candidate for the Republican nomination for governor of Montana. Prior to that he spent more than thirty years involved in international business at the highest levels around the globe, addressing some of the most complex and challenging problems confronting major corporations and even nations. He was Chairman, founder, and CEO of ExecutiveAction LLC, an international security and business solutions company, and founder, Chairman, and CEO of GlobalOptions Inc., which he took public in 2005 (and which went on the NASDAQ in 2007). He was also a Director of Erickson Air-Crane, and became Lead Director in 2006 and oversaw the sale of the company in 2007. For more than ten years, he handled external relations—including banking relationships, investments in other companies, large-scale purchases, and trade matters—for Zeromax GmbH, the largest private company in Central Asia (with 27,000 employees and $4 billion in sales). He was also a shareholder and officer of a number of other companies, including an international airline and a television production company.

He is the author of 10 books and more than 250 articles that have appeared in the New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and other leading publications. A frequent commentator on international issues, NBC’s Tom Brokaw described him as “one of this nation’s preeminent authorities on terrorism.” He was recently introduced at the Institute for World Politics as “the dean of America’s terrorism experts.” He has appeared on more than 1700 television programs and 1250 radio programs. He has also delivered more than 500 major speeches at venues ranging from Institutional Investor to the British House of Commons, the United Nations, and the U.S. Air Force Academy.

He has advised the Secretary of State, the Chief of Naval Operations, the Defense Department, and other government agencies and top officials, and served on more than three dozen corporate and non-profit Advisory Boards.

Mr. Livingstone was an Adjunct Professor for more than ten years at Georgetown University and holds an A.B. (with Honors) from the College of William & Mary, three Masters degrees, and a Ph.D. from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy (Tufts). He received an Honorable Discharge from the USAR and is a Life Member of the Association of Former Intelligence Executives, among other organizations.

Mr. Miller is a Founder and Managing Director for Banyan Mezzanine, which was founded in 2002 to provide mezzanine capital to smaller middle-market companies and currently has over $200 million of committed capital from its Fund I and Fund II (which started in 2007). Mr. Miller was with Bank of America Securities and affiliated entities from 1988 to mid-2001, most recently as a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions group. He was responsible for originating and executing both public and private senior, mezzanine and equity financings. Based in Miami for most of his career, he has led financings exceeding $25 billion in over 60 transactions. He is a Director of the Florida Venture Forum and a graduate of the University of Texas.
